PDS was awarded Best Event Design & Decor over $80,000 at the 2020 ILEA Vancouver Awards Gala last night! Creating an Instagram worthy welcome reception for 1,300 guests that truly embraced Vancouver’s cultural scene was our objective when designing our “Vancouver Culture Crawl” event.
“Thank you to ILEA Vancouver Chapter for putting together a forum where we can share our work amongst colleagues and friends,” says PDS Director of Production & Design, Terri Samson. “This award represents a collective of a dozen vendors working collaboratively to create something unique that represented Vancouver’s spirit. The team at PDS is proud to add this award to our shelf, and we appreciate our greater team for their partnership and support.”
Intentionally designed as stand up reception to encourage networking and flow, guests explored the flavours of the city and experienced some of our urban culture visiting a local butcher shop, a “tipsy” ice cream parlour, a luxury branded storefront, a donut shop, and a pretzel stand. Guests travelled under raining umbrellas, watched shadowbox sushi above the all-you-can-eat conveyor belt of nigiri, walked down graffiti row and enjoyed local entertainment -an aerial painter, chalk and graffiti artists and 12 piece dance band. It was the most “Instagrammed” event in our client’s company’s history!
