The “Rocky Mountain Market,” a “farmer’s market” style welcome event was held at Spray Meadows, on the shores of the Spray River under the towering peaks of Mt. Rundle.

The entrance to the market was a farm gate flanked with piled boxes of cascading summer flowers, barrels, wheelbarrows and various antique style farm/ranch props, including a 1950’s pickup truck full of local beers on ice and sunflowers. The truck was exact colour of the client branding, making it a fitting piece of the décor design.  Market stalls were filled with a variety of market/outdoor BBQ style food items all enhanced with country market props, menus written on chalkboards and delightful décor and culinary surprises.

Wooden harvest tables and chairs were decorated with colourful umbrellas, table runners and vintage bottles/jars for festive seating; the perimeter was set with comfy seating around firepits for more relaxed gathering places.

The menu was created in collaboration with PDS and the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel Culinary Team who pushed the boundaries to create an incredible grab’n go feast for guests.  From BBQ to charcuterie and wine tasting to build your own Caesar bar, spiked lemonade, pocket pies and home made frozen desserts on a stick, the options were pleasantly fun, surprising and delicious.

Fun lawn games and local country band on a mobile stage with Spray River and the Rocky Mountains as the backdrop entertained the guests throughout the evening.
